How to browse Trudi using the easy access functions on a desktop computer
The functions are designed to simplify the use of an Android or iOS device for users with visual, hearing or mobility impairments.
To enable easy access functions on Android:
- Open the Settings application on your device.
- Select Accessibility, then select the Accessibility menu.
- Activate the Accessibility menu shortcut.
- To accept permissions, select OK.
To enable the Accessibility features on iOS:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Go to Settings, then to Accessibility.
- Choose the facilitated access features to be enabled from the categories provided (sight, mobility, hearing, general).

- Make use of the screen magnification and large character support integrated in your browsers: ‘Ctrl/Cmd’ and ‘+’ / ‘Ctrl/Cmd’ and ‘-’ / ‘Ctrl/Cmd’ and ‘0’.
- Customise your reading experience: In the Internet browser window, activate the reading view directly from the address bar. The reading view is accessible via the dedicated icon in the search bar and is compatible with Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge browsers. To access it, press F9 or Ctrl+Shift+R.
- Use keyboard navigation: with the arrow and tab keys on your keyboard you can scroll up and down the page and access any specific link.
Tips for screen readers on Trudi
- When you want to make a purchase, use the quick navigation button “Button” of the screen reader to go to the Add to Basket button.
- The titles of the product search results are structured as headers. On a computer, use the buttons or the header dialogue box to navigate through the search results. On your mobile device, use the appropriate gestures to navigate through the headers.
